During the 13-year-old soccer tournament in South Florida, Lukas noticed an opposing player collapse on the field in tears after missing a goal that could have won his team the U-13 championship. While Lukas’s teammates ran off to celebrate the victory, he did the opposite: he walked over to the devastated player and comforted him. “I saw that he was crying, so I wanted to go help him out.” A simple reminder that humanity always comes first.
Harvesting hope in humanity
In Antler, North Dakota, friends and neighbors banded together to help a widow after her farmer husband tragically died in a crash, leaving 1,400 acres of crops unharvested. More than 75 volunteers brought combines, carts and trucks to harvest the fields in just days — ensuring the family wouldn’t lose their livelihood.
Mother of 4 overcomes negativity
After going to the doctor for her mental health, Holly Kallay was told she would not make it through high school, let alone have a family or a successful career. Fast-forward 25 years, and the mother of four just completed her Master’s of Social Work. She’s a story of inspiration, and a reminder that belief in yourself can overcome any negativity that surrounds you.
